The finishing stage is where amateur drywall jobs fall apart and pro jobs come together. Our finishers train on every level grade and deliver flat, paint-ready walls and ceilings that look perfect under any light — including the unforgiving raking light from large windows.
Level 4 vs Level 5
Level 4 is the residential standard: three coats of compound over taped seams and screw heads, sanded smooth. It's the right finish for any textured wall and for most painted walls in normal lighting. Level 5 adds a full skim coat of compound across the entire wall, sanded glass-flat. It's the finish for modern smooth walls, gloss or semi-gloss paint, and rooms with large windows where raking light would reveal every Level 4 imperfection.
Dustless Sanding
Sanding is the messiest step in drywall, and we hate dust as much as you do. Our finishers use sanders with HEPA vacuum attachments and pole sanders with collection bags, keeping airborne dust to a minimum. Furniture, electronics, and HVAC vents stay protected.
Inspection Before Paint
Before we declare a job finished, we run a strong flashlight along every wall at a low angle. This is how trained eyes find imperfections that disappear under normal lighting. Anything that shows up gets re-floated and re-sanded. The paint crew never inherits problems from us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Level 5 in my home?+
Only if you have smooth (untextured) walls in a room with strong direct light, or if you're using gloss or semi-gloss paint. Most homes do well with Level 4.
What's the price difference between Level 4 and Level 5?+
Level 5 usually costs 30–50% more because of the additional skim coat and sanding time. On a typical room, that might be $300–$600 extra.
Can you re-finish walls that someone else hung?+
Yes — this is a common request. We assess the existing hang, fix any problems (loose screws, bad seams), and apply a Level 4 or Level 5 finish.
How much dust will sanding create?+
With our dustless setup, you'll see a light film on horizontal surfaces — much less than traditional sanding. We tarp electronics and HVAC vents.
